The Asian cousin of T. rex and the second largest tyrannosaurid. Its jaw locked more rigidly than in T. rex, possibly helping it control struggling prey. Dozens of specimens include juveniles. Smuggled skulls have been seized and returned to Mongolia after auction scandals.
