About Protoceratops

A small early ceratopsian, about the size of a sheep. Famous for the Fighting Dinosaurs fossil — a Protoceratops and Velociraptor locked in combat when they were both buried by a sandstorm. Had a small frill and no horns. Very common in its ecosystem, found in large numbers including nests with eggs.
