About Camarasaurus

The most common sauropod of the Morrison Formation, known from dozens of skeletons. Its name means chambered lizard because its vertebrae contained deep hollows that lightened the body. Spoon shaped teeth cropped coarse vegetation. Some species are known from complete growth series of juveniles and adults.
