About Albertosaurus
A close relative of Tyrannosaurus rex that lived in Canada several million years earlier. Sleeker and lighter built than its famous cousin, with longer legs for chasing prey. Bonebeds containing over 20 individuals suggest it may have lived and hunted in family groups. Skulls show healed face bites from fights within the species.
