About Acrocanthosaurus
A giant predator with a ridge of tall spines running along its back and tail, tallest over the hips. Likely stalked massive sauropods, and its Texas trackway shows footprints 60 cm long. The spines probably supported thick muscle or fat rather than a sail. One of the largest theropods ever found in North America.
