About Maiasaura
The good mother lizard — named after fossil evidence of parental care. Nests found in colonies of up to 40, with hatchlings too weak to leave the nest, suggesting parents brought them food. The first strong evidence that dinosaurs cared for their young. Jack Horner named it. Known from hundreds of specimens of all ages.
