About Scelidosaurus

One of the first nearly complete dinosaur skeletons ever found, washed into the sea and buried in seafloor mud. Described by Richard Owen, the scientist who coined the word dinosaur. Rows of small scutes armored its back. An early member of the lineage that later produced stegosaurs and ankylosaurs.
